The Windsor Hotel is a piece of History in the Overberg and is wonderfully situated to make any stay-over memorable. The view for whaling season is just the best. Easy walks to the hub of the town and access to some great dining and cuisine experiences.
well situated, afforable and comfortable
The room facing the sea.
It only serves breakfast and no dinners. There is no DSTV channels. The bathroom needs some upgrading eg putting in a shower and do away with the bath/shower combination.
Excellent position for looking out across the Bay and Whale watching if around. Large Car park andright in the middle of the town with easy access to shops and restaurants
Reliant on its history and excellent location, however the rooms are very tired and old fashioned and requireto be up graded espoecially as it was one of the dearest hotel & B*B accomodations we stayed in and do not consider it to be that good value when compared to others. Staff not exactly friendly or overly welcoming especially ion the Breakfast room and at reception. Very dissappointed that it was teh only hotel & B*B over a 3 week holiday that only provided flora and not real butter at breakfast. Cost custting taken too far. Would only recommend hotel due to its positioning
The location Breakfast good.
Old Hotel, needs alot of TLC,safe not working, sliding door to balcony didnt lock.No hairdryer in the room as stipulated.Toiletries such as shampoo only one tiny bottle each and no conditioner at all.
Central with regard to access to businesses
Time to upgrade TV and have M-Net in rooms
Old fashioned, comfrtable and with great views
The location is perfect - the views from the hotel great
the room was tip top , quiet in the evenings , and very close to local amenities, safe location , and several times during my stay, whales could be seen in the bay in front of the hotel .the breakfast was buffet style and an excellent choice service was also very good.
I was very pleased with the hotel and would recommend it .
The front facade of the building is lovely. Lots of secure parking. Beautiful close up sea views.
Sadly the hotel looks tired and in need of a good revamp and some TLC. The tiles in our bathroom were really old and had black grouting - ugh! A little fridge in the bedroom would have been nice. Drinking tea or coffee with creamer is not my best. The bed was not comfortable and as you walked into the room could see it kind-of sloping - need I say more? Rooms very small. Even whilst sitting in the dining room, wall paper everywhere peeling off the walls - such a simple thing to fix!!!! No little bar area to go and have a drink. No, we were not hugely impressed - sorry!!
The breakfast and views are lovely
Bed could be more comfortable upgrade of matress
Location The willingness to change our room. Friendly staff
I understood that the alternative to a sea view room would be a mountain view. However, our view was the back of another building. TV - Only 3 channels to choose from. No DSTV. The TV itself is very small.
The room was clean and the sight on the sea very beautiful, the breakfast was fantastic abundant and good
Have not found the hair dryer that had to be us in the services for the bath and there was a perfume an intense too in the room of deodorant for inside
An amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. Complimentary champagne to our room as we were on honeymoon.
The room was very run down and the bed was small.
The staff were very friendly. The breakfasts were good. The situation was perfect for walking the coastal path. The views were superb.
I recently had a total knee replacement and we had a room on the third floor. We were not aware that there was no lift in the hotel. No walk in shower in the bathroom which badly needed an upgrade. No duvets. This hotel is not convenient for older people.
